Class Experiences

Our sophomores travel to Washington D.C. to participate in the annual For God and Country: A Washington D.C. Citizenship Experience where they participate in a peaceful march for life. This valuable social justice experience exposes our students to thousands of people that believe in the same cause.  Coming from a small rural area, this has a large impact on our youth. They experience the nation’s capital, museums, and monuments, gaining an understanding of the arts and history of our country.

We are very proud to be distinctively different from our local public school counterparts. We strive to counteract worldly views and educate our young people in Christ’s teachings daily. St. Mary School continues to work with our young people, preparing them for the future, as they one day become leaders in their own respective communities.

Our juniors travel to Stratford, Ontario, for a Shakespearean experience that supports their curriculum.  They tour a costume and prop warehouse and see three plays: a Broadway musical, a Shakespearean tragedy and a drama.

Our seniors research and plan a mission trip with the guidance of their advisor. They send delegates to present a proposal to the School Advisory Council for approval and feedback. Past trips have included helping with repairs to churches and schools, visiting the sick and elderly, working in soup kitchens and food pantries, and providing support for the less fortunate. The seniors also make time to have fun by site seeing and experiencing the local culture.
